My 20th Birthday look!

Hey everyone, I'm so sorry I know it has been a while since I have updated my blog but I have been so busy with Uni and other personal issues. However, I'm back and will be updating my blog regularly for you guys, I am so glad to be back and finished with my second year of University (if you didn't know, I study fashion management with marketing at Southampton Solent). I had four assignments to complete in literally one week as well as other personal love life issues :(, but I am trying to keep myself busy and continue to do the things that I love, one of them is writing this blog!

Hense why I am bringing quite a lengthly blog post to you, it was my birthday on the 8th May and I turned 20 :/. Yes, 20! I was feeling rather down about this age as I am no longer a teenager  and travelling into womanhood so quickly (but my mum calls me a 20-teen lol). I think the years go by so rapidly as you grow older, during this year I am hoping to grow and become more wise with the life and career decisions that I will need to make.

I am trying to strive towards making this blog a succes so if you have any advice or tips, I would love to hear them. Just comment below!

From the pictures above, you can probably tell that I was wearing make up. This make up was done by my amazing housemate Vikki, she currently lives in London and is apart of a makeup team who socialise in hair and makeovers for various occasions. I love the lipstick she used, its a darker shade than what I would usually go for but it looked flawless, I asked her for makeup that would compliment my new hair (senegelese twists) and also my red/coral coloured dress and she did a great job on both! If you need her services, you can comment below and I will give you the contact information.

I loved this dress as soon as I seen it, I got discount on it as I work at River Island, however I would have definitely paid the full price for it. The dress was comfortable and stylish, in my opinion it was a great 20th birthday dress but my 21st birthday dress will be way more extravagant! The only negative aspect to this dress was the low cut neckline which often opened to reveal my assets :|, as the dress is a wrap dress the front would open even when the belt was tightly fastend. I could not go to a club like this, feeling conscious, therefore I decided to sew the front of the dress together, this solved the problem and allowed me to keep some of my modesty. If you have larger assets, I would suggest buying some dress tape/cleavage tape. But that was the only negative about this dress, I had a great birthday night out and felt great in the dress!

Hope this post inspired your next outfit/make up look.

Stay tuned for my birthday meal in the next post.

:) x
